The food from the Joseon Dynasty (A.D.1392~1910), Korea 's final dynasty, has become today what people refer to as the finest traditional style of Korean cuisine. Let's mak e best of two kinds of Royal Court foo d with wearing "Daejanggeum' costume, one of the Korean traditional costume. The TV miniseries Daejanggeum , or Jewel in the Palace, is based on the story of a real historical figure (Jang-geum) who was the first and only woman to serve as head physician to the King in the rigidly hierarchical and male-dominated social structure of the Joseon Dynasty

Daejanggeum, in English, "the Great Jang-geum," caught the attention of Korean TV viewers with its unique combination of two themes: the successful rise of a female, which is rarely covered in historical genre, and the elements of traditional food and medicine.

The area is called a "Museum without Walls" because of the historical building and treasures to be found there.
Bulguksa Temple on the southern outskirts of Gyeongju, which is one of Korea 's best known temples, a monument to both the skill of Silla architects and the depth of Buddhist faith at the time. While most of the wooden buildings have been rebuilt over the centuries, all the stone bridges, stairways and pagodas are original. The temple, originally built in A.D. 535. was enlarged in A.D.751. Today the temple's form is as beautiful and charming as ever.
